StoPox HVP O - permanent remediation of oil contaminated floors
Oil-contaminated floor areas are a widespread problem in industrial plants. Coolants and lubricants containing oil as well as other contaminated liquids can penetrate the concrete substrate over long periods of time. Before applying a floor coating, the substrate must therefore be professionally remediated. Conventional coating of the floor is not possible due to capillary rising oil.
StoPox HVP O: Barrier against capillary rising oil
Special substrate preparation is essential for oil-contaminated floor areas. Firstly, the contaminated floor is intensively cleaned using HVPO Oil Remover (Schencking & Bury GmbH). Thanks to the high depth effectiveness of the cleaning agent, oil is reliably removed from the capillaries close to the surface. In the next step, the priming coat is applied using StoPox HVP O.The epoxy resin used acts as a barrier layer against capillary rising oil and creates a permanently resilient base for the subsequent coating.
