Chemie³:

A sustainability initiative from the German chemical sector

Since 2014, Sto has been involved in the Chemie³ sustainability initiative, which is particularly influential in Germany. This initiative was launched by the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI), the Mining, Chemical and Energy Industrial Union (IG BCE), and the German Federation of Chemical Employers’ Associations (BAVC). It promotes the sustainable development of the chemical industry in Germany and offers various tools for bringing this about.

Sto is involved in numerous activities, for example exchanging examples of best practice. We also use the “Chemie³ sustainability check” so that various national companies can evaluate and optimise their practices in over 30 areas of activity within the company.

You can find out more about the Chemie³ sustainability initiative on their website.
