Our compliance maxim means that we do not tolerate:
We are resolutely committed to taking action against all of the above.
Along with abiding by laws, regulations, and our own company values, for Sto and StoCretec, compliance provides the foundation for integrity in the business arena: in all that we do, we act in a way that is ethically and socially compliant. The compliance culture and the values of the Sto Group underpin all day-to-day activities and our success. True to our mission: “Building with conscience”.

The compliance management system from StoCretec and Sto consists of several interconnected modules and is intended to ensure compliance with company rules and laws at all times. It comprises three areas of responsibility:
Prevent
The following preventive measures help to convey our values and create a reliable framework for working in accordance with the rules:
Recognize
In order to identify and fully investigate misconduct, it is essential to provide ways and means of reporting suspected or actual violations of company rules and statutory regulations.
React
Any misconduct is always responded to consistently.
The compliance management system follows the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act). In this logical sequence, it can be implemented methodologically optimally and effectively and continuously improved by eliminating weak points.
Communication
At Sto and StoCretec, we integrate compliance into the operational and value-adding processes. Communication is the key to compliance at Sto. It is reinforced by the "tone from the top" of the Management Board of STO Management SE. In this way, we permanently anchor responsible behavior in the consciousness of all employees of the Sto Group.
We also want to be sure that our business partners cannot be linked to corruption, money laundering, fraud or other activities that pose a risk to the company. That is why we select our business partners only after a previous careful examination and monitor the ongoing cooperation.
The possibility for external stakeholders to report possible misconduct via different channels helps to react to problematic circumstances or developments at an early stage. The Chief Compliance Officer, Christophe Verolet, accepts reports personally on the phone or by e-mail: compliance@sto.com
Online whistleblower system
Reliable reporting channels for compliance violations and the protection of whistleblowers from sanctions are essential for effective compliance: they help to ensure that possible misconduct can be reported, comprehensively investigated and clarified.

It is binding for all employees of the Sto Group and applies worldwide. The Code of Conduct summarises important laws and internal company regulations that govern conduct in the business environment with third parties, in dealings with the public and also for daily interaction within the Group.

We are aware of our responsibility towards our business partners as well as towards the climate and society. We have therefore defined sustainability as one of our core competences as part of our corporate strategy. Sustainable behaviour is a basic prerequisite for long-term success.
Together with our suppliers, we want to further develop their sustainability performance in the supply chain. The success of the cooperation between us and our business partners is based on mutual trust, transparency, reliability and fairness. This Code of Conduct defines our requirements for responsible business practices, human rights and labour standards, environmental protection and product safety.
