Sto Climate Partner Day enters its second round – regional events in 2026

Seven regional events in November

Following the successful launch in 2025, Sto is taking the Climate Partner Day to the regions of Germany in autumn 2026. The event demonstrates how Sto actively fosters its partnership with specialist trades in day-to-day business – in a practical, market-oriented way and with a shared goal: making Germany’s homes energy-efficient for the future.

The first Sto Climate Partner Day in 2025 in Essen, attended by around 700 participants, demonstrated just how great the need is for dialogue, guidance and concrete solutions relating to energy-efficient building refurbishment. In 2026, the concept will be further developed and take the initiative to the next level – across the whole of Germany: seven regional events will take place in November.

Renowned speakers offer insights into the future of construction and renovation. A representative from the DGNB will speak on ‘Sustainable Construction: Not just a slogan, but an attitude’, whilst Jan Peter Hinrichs, Managing Director of the Federal Association for Energy-Efficient Building Envelopes (BuVEG), will discuss ‘Between the market and regulation – the political work of companies and associations’. “Positioning in the skilled trades: What matters now to prepare yourself and your business for the future” is the topic addressed by building contractor Daniel Dirkes. Alongside other topics, there will be ample time for professional discussion and networking. “For us, the Sto Climate Partnership is more than just an event. It is a clear commitment to cooperation with qualified painting and plastering firms,” says Heiner Röhr, Head of the Germany Region at Sto. A partnership that makes a difference in everyday life

Sto supports ‘Climate Partner’ specialist firms in developing their expertise in sustainability and climate protection, and in presenting themselves to homeowners as a strong trade brand. This includes further training and tools for engaging with customers, such as energy-saving calculators, information on funding schemes and marketing materials. “This facilitates dialogue with private, commercial and public clients, increases the visibility of the businesses and helps to secure contracts, skilled workers and trainees,” says Röhr. “The Sto Climate Partnership is our way of working together with specialist tradespeople to make Germany’s homes fit for the future. Success comes from pooled expertise – and that is precisely why we support our partners with practical solutions, digital tools and regional networking opportunities for their day-to-day project work,” Röhr continues.
