StoCrete FB: Approval - sealing under tiles
You probably know our StoCrete FB! Proven for 30 years - but now with an application extension, namely as
approved sealing under tiles on the balcony
StoCrete FB is a product that has been tried and tested for many years and has numerous fields of application:
- It protects earth-filled reinforced concrete foundations under paving.
- It is used as a tested and approved surface protection system in the splash zone of water contaminated with de-icing agents.
- It seals sprinkler tanks, containers and basins.
- It protects concrete bases against de-icing salts.
- It is resistant to fuels, heating oil, used and unused combustion engine oils, motor vehicle gear oils as well as transformer and insulating oils (abZ according to §62 WHG).
And now new:
Approval as a sealing under tiles on balconies
The cementitious coating system StoConcrete Protect Elastic FB has now also been tested as a sealing under tiles and slabs on balconies.
The StoCrete FB system coating is statically and dynamically bridging of cracks and resistant to thermal stresses caused by the alternation of direct sunlight in midsummer and cold water during thunderstorms. The waterproofing thus prevents the penetration of water and pollutants dissolved in water into the concrete substrate and protects the building fabric permanently.
The general building authority test certificate (abP) is now also available for the floor all-rounder in accordance with the test principles for seals in bonds with tiles and slabs (PG-AIV-F). StoCrete FB can be used for exterior and interior applications outside of habitable rooms and has been tested for this application with a water pressure of 0.5 bar.

StoCrete FB - Low susceptibility to soiling, reduced cleaning effort.
Stormwater retention and stormwater overflow basins require regular cleaning. Coated with StoCrete FB, they have a lower susceptibility to soiling and are easier to clean. This considerably reduces the labour-intensive cleaning effort. The polymer-modified cementitious coating protects the building fabric of stormwater overflow and stormwater retention basins: cracks are permanently bridged with the elastic coating system, even at low temperatures. The StoCrete FB mineral waterproofing slurry has considerable performance reserves. Another plus: The slip-resistant surface, which is suitable for foot traffic for maintenance and cleaning purposes, ensures occupational safety.
Mineral waterproofing - high performance even under permanently wet conditions
For protection against de-icing salt spray and seepage water in underground car parks, as an external sealing against accumulating seepage water or internal sealing of sprinkler tanks - StoCrete FB impresses with its wide range of applications as a coating and sealing for concrete structures. Practical for application: The sealing can be applied manually (trowel or smoothing trowel) or mechanically (high-pressure spraying). mineral sealing slurries usually reach their limits when exposed to permanent wetness. The water absorption of the pores changes the mechanical properties of the material and thus its functionality.
StoCrete FB, on the other hand, has a very special property:
Due to its high density, the material absorbs very little water and remains highly mechanically resistant and elastic even when saturated with water. Even under constant wet loading, functionality is permanently ensured.
Car park decks with paved surfaces have no reinforced concrete components that are directly driven on. However, strip or individual foundations as well as the bases of columns and walls are exposed to high levels of water and de-icing salts. OS 5b systems, such as our StoConcrete Protect Elastic FB, which fulfil the requirements for sealing in accordance with DIN 18533, are suitable for protecting these building elements.
StoCrete FB permanently seals building elements under paving. At the same time, it protects the building fabric in the spray and splash zone from water contaminated with chlorides and thus prevents damage caused by corrosion of the reinforcing steel.
StoCrete FB is also ideal for sealing tanks and basins against water pressing in from the inside and can be used under double car parks.
StoCrete FB also functions as a class OS 5b surface protection system for exposed building elements in the spray and splash water zone.
The coating prevents water and de-icing salts from penetrating the concrete and causing damage to the building fabric.

In addition to the epoxy resin-based StoCretec WHG systems, the flexible, mineral coating StoCrete FB can also be used in LAU and HBV systems.
The material is bridging of cracks and electrical conductivity.

- Storage facilities for water-polluting liquids
- Floors in secondary containment tanks
- Sealing in accordance with WHG §62 for floor areas in LAU and HBV facilities
