Our portfolio covers all aspects of a construction project – from the facade to interiors and beyond, to the cellar and underground car park. As the contact for the entire project, we support our customers from the planning phase right through to the implementation. The products and system solutions from StoCretec and Sto help to maintain the structure and hence the value of a building, while also ensuring it retains its attractive appearance – and all on a lasting basis.

Whether it's breakouts on the balcony parapet or wall connections to the facade, waterproofing under tiles or coloured surface protection: at StoCretec you will always find the right system in the StoFloor Balcony section.
To the balcony systems

The coloured design of balconies with comprehensive surface protection is something we at StoCretec have in mind.
Sto's StoDesign department also provides support here in the creation of modern colour concepts. Entirely according to your wishes.

Damaged edges and corner break-outs on balconies are annoying because they often detract from the appearance. With easy-to-apply quick repair mortars, such as StoCrete SM, the restoration of these defects is no problem. In the floor area, StoCrete RM F is an equally quick repair mortar for horizontal surfaces.

The renovation of car park buildings is always a challenge. The vehicle traffic surfaces are reliably and permanently protected against the penetration of water and water-soluble pollutants. This task is performed by our surface protection systems for traffic areas.
StoCretec also offers high-performance concrete repair products for floors, walls and ceilings. From mortar for repairing minor damage to repair systems for structural reinforcement, we work together to find the right solution for every challenge.

Staircases are important building components. They should represent the property appropriately. After all, they are the parts of the building that residents or visitors enter first. At the same time, functionality must be taken into account. Moisture, dirt and road salt enter the building through staircases. Concrete stairs are often subject to wear due to abrasion, salinisation or moisture.
Slip-resistant coatings create a safe environment for the occupants. Numerous StoCretec floor coatings are suitable for this purpose, which ensure slip resistance by embedding Sto Ballotini and can be cleaned with manageable effort.

Cellars and utility rooms do not have to be drab and grey. Floor coatings from StoCretec give them a colourful coat with an additional protective function. In bicycle cellars, they prevent water and pollutants, such as de-icing salts, from penetrating the concrete.
In washrooms and boiler rooms, they act as a water barrier in the event of a leak. Even oils and greases cannot harm the coated floor. With their anti-slip properties, they also ensure the safety of residents in corridors and stairwells.

Reliable waterproofing of bridge decks
StoPox BV 100 primer in combination with a bituminous waterproofing membrane reliably and permanently seals bridge decks - even under difficult boundary conditions.
The hydrophobic epoxy resin has excellent early water resistance. Its hardener component - a pre-added amine - significantly reduces carbamate formation. The good moisture compatibility of the resin-hardener combination allows the application on young concrete. Outside the standard ZTV-ING applications, StoPox BV 100 can even be used on fresh concrete.

Economical and durable traffic load increase for existing bridges
Structural reinforcement with carbon fibre lamellas is visually inconspicuous. It has no influence on the dead weight of the component or the geometry of the bridge.
The Sto S&P CFRP lamella bonded in slots is used to efficiently restore or increase the load-bearing capacity of existing bridges without significantly interfering with their structural fabric. Thanks to its simple and quick installation, even in places that are difficult to access, weight restrictions, partial or even full closures can be reduced. The structure is fully loadable just a few days after installation.

Special fibres ensure safety in case of fire
When repairing traffic structures, special mortar systems are required so that the load-bearing capacity can be restored.
StoCrete TS 100, for example, the polymer-modified dry spray mortar of class R4, is very suitable for increasing the concrete cover over a wide area and for local reprofiling. Its processing and curing function trouble-free even under dynamic load.
The polypropylene fibres of the StoCrete TS 100 mortar reinforce its fresh mortar structure and thus allow layer thicknesses of up to 50 mm in one operation. In the event of a fire, these fibres melt, allowing the vapour pressure to dissipate and preventing the mortar from flaking.

Resins for expansion or friction filling
Injection resins restore the stability of bridges and tunnels quickly and economically. They permanently seal cracks against water and corrosion-causing chlorides dissolved in water, thus extending the service life of the structure.
Our injection resins meet the high requirements of European and national regulations.
The polyurethane resin StoJet PIH 200, for example, is used for the expandable filling of dry, moist and water-bearing cracks. This injection resin absorbs vibrations and resulting crack width changes. Its low viscosity enables a high penetration depth and thus effective sealing.

High, effective penetration depth
StoCryl HG 200 protects reinforced concrete permanently and effectively against the penetration of water and water-soluble pollutants. It thus prevents damage caused by frost and chloride-induced steel corrosion. The service life of the structure is significantly extended.
Unlike conventional hydrophobic impregnation, deep-acting hydrophobic agents completely block the capillary absorption capacity of the porous concrete edge zone. This is made possible by its high, effective penetration depth. The hydrophobic gel is based on long-chain silanes and the carrier material bentonite.

Solution for floor slabs made of waterproof concrete
Protection against extreme permanent loads caused by moisture on the rear side and cracks.
Parking structures with a floor slab made of waterproof concrete pose great challenges for planners. This is because a coating system must fulfil contradictory requirements in order to ensure durability: Suitability for moisture stress on the reverse side with simultaneous crack-bridging capability.
StoPox 590 EP is the optimal solution as a formulation of special epoxy resin with cementitious filler.
The StoFloor Traffic Elastic 590 EP system is characterised by very good bonding properties on concrete substrates with increased moisture as well as high crack-bridging capability.

Against a structure's greatest enemy: rising damp
Not all driving and parking areas in multi-storey car parks and underground garages lie on long-span or cantilevered floor slabs with load- or temperature-induced cracking movements. Especially floor slabs in the basement hardly have such loads. Therefore, a coating in this area must reliably and permanently prevent the penetration of water and any de-icing salts dissolved in it into the floors made of reinforced concrete.
Just as important is a reliable solution to the problem of rising damp caused by missing or inadequate waterproofing to the substrate. The StoCretec car park systems offer optimally coordinated solutions to this problem

Dealing with cracks safely
Crack-bridging, trafficable surface protection coatings are required wherever there is a risk of cracking. They are also necessary when existing cracks show significant changes in crack width due to temperature and load changes. These characteristics not infrequently occur especially in the area of intermediate decks.
The StoFloor Traffic Elastic TEP MultiTop system is particularly suitable here.

Surface protection measures with a rigid OS 8 system
These measures also offer some advantages in intermediate decks.. In particular, the resilience to high shear forces from motor vehicles - such as in curved turning areas or on and off ramps - distinguishes such a coating system. In combination with an accompanying crack treatment, easy and economical maintenance is guaranteed.
The requirements here are for laterally closed or open garages. The surfaces are loadable with a high shear force wine effect. Accompanying crack treatment is carried out.
The StoFloor Traffic BB OS system is characterised by its high mechanical load-bearing capacity, simple execution and diverse colour design options.

Tough, resistant surface needed
Ramps are subjected to high shear forces and are therefore subject to heavy surface abrasion. Their coating must therefore be tough, hard-wearing and slip-resistant. In addition, there is a risk of moisture penetration from the rear. The StoFloor Traffic DV 100 and StoFloor Traffic Elastic 590 EP systems, among others, have proven themselves for these requirements.
At low temperatures, Pma systems, such as StoFloor Traffic RZ 500, can be used due to the fast execution. This can already be used at temperatures from 0 °C.

Large temperature changes require crack-bridging, trafficable surface protection coatings.
As with the intermediate decks, there is a danger of cracking or changes in crack width due to temperature or load changes. Therefore, crack-bridging, trafficable surface protective coatings are also required for open decks.
Due to the increased crack-bridging capability ("Elastic"), the StoFloor Traffic Elastic EZ 500 and StoFloor Traffic Elastic TEP MultiTop systems are recommended for open-air decks.

Withstanding high loads from public traffic
The walking surfaces of a multi-storey car park also have to withstand the stresses caused by heavy public traffic. Wetness and de-icing salts are brought in "on foot" here and the CO2 content also causes accelerated damage to the concrete here. Added to this is the task of colour-coding walking surfaces and guiding users.
StoCretec car park systems offer various high-performance and cost-minimised solutions for this purpose with a wide range of colour design options.

Surface protection systems preserve the property value
A large selection of tested surface protection systems are an essential component of the repair concept in car parks. Whether OS 8-, OS 10- or OS 11-systems - StoCretec covers the entire spectrum.

Polymer-modified, cementitious coating StoCrete FB for foundations, columns and walls
In the case of car park decks with paved surfaces, there are no reinforced concrete components that are directly driven on and need to be protected. Nevertheless, building elements such as strip or individual foundations and the bases of columns and walls are subject to very high levels of stress from water contaminated with de-icing salt.
StoCrete FB can be used both as a sealant to protect building elements under paving and as a surface protection system in the spray and splash zone of chloride-contaminated water.

Economical, resistance and approved
The system-tested Sto S&P CFRP Plates have proven their worth in the subsequent reinforcement of concrete and reinforced concrete components. CFRP lamellas consist of carbon fibre reinforced plastics.
The structural reinforcement systems increase the load bearing capacity of concrete members with only minor changes to the construction dimensions and weight. It is important that the reinforcement measures can be inconspicuously and visually almost invisibly faced.

Protection and visual design of concrete structures
The StoConcrete Protect Prime TU 100 is included in the list of tested anti-graffiti systems (AGS) of the Federal Highway Research Institute. It can be used not only in civil engineering, e.g. for bridges and tunnels, but also as graffiti protection in multi-storey car parks, residential and administrative buildings.
StoConcrete Protect Adhesion Promoter TU 100 is used for the protection and visual design of concrete structures on vertical and inclined surfaces, but also for levelling the surface and for closing cavities and pores.

Concrete structures of municipal wastewater treatment plants have to withstand both the constant stresses from the environment and the chemical exposures from wastewater as well as biogenic sulphuric acid.
High-performance concrete repair and surface protection systems for the exposure classes "chemical attack" come from StoCretec. Independent testing institutes and long-term references confirm their quality and durability.
The protection of the environment as well as the functional efficiency and cost-effectiveness of sewage treatment plants have top priority and drive us to continuously develop our product range.

Repair and protection of concrete structures in wastewater treatment plants
Damage to concrete structures in sewage treatment plants has various causes. One main problem is the use of construction products that are not sufficiently resistant. The constant stress from the environment and the additional chemical effects from the wastewater show the cement matrix its limits.
Possible consequences are surface damage caused by frost and de-icing salts or by loosening or driving attack. Furthermore, concrete corrosion in closed systems, e.g. septic tanks, occurs due to biogenic sulphuric acid.
StoCretec offers systems to permanently preserve the building fabric. With these, damage can be professionally repaired and the concrete structure permanently protected.

An essential requirement for construction products for wastewater installations is their resistance to chemical attack. DIN 19573 assigns wastewater to exposure class XWW, chemical attack. It contains relevant effects of the wastewater, its chemical characteristics and the limit values of the chemical concentration. This is the basis for the classification of the impacts into the exposure classes XWW1 to XWW4.
Concrete surfaces without chemical attack can be repaired with our high-quality civil engineering systems.

Weak to strong sulphuric acid attack
For concrete structures that fall into exposure classes XWW1-3, we recommend our specially developed mortar systems for protection and repair. (Concrete surfaces without chemical attack can be repaired with our high-quality engineering systems.)
The mortar systems specially developed for use in sewage treatment plants were formulated with a highly sulphate-resistant cement. They are characterised by their excellent resistance to sulphuric acid, ammonium and sulphate-containing water. The mortar systems for wastewater construction can be used above, within, and below the water exchange zone.

Biogenic sulphuric acid - strong chemical attack
For concrete surfaces exposed to biogenic sulphuric acid, we offer a special coating system. The epoxy resin system is available in two variants.
In closed plants, such as covered tanks and digesters, biogenic sulphuric acid corrosion can occur in the gas space. This is not the generally known corrosion caused by oxygen and water. This corrosion process takes place without air and is favoured by bacteria, among other things. This can lead to high erosion rates on the concrete surface in the interior of the tanks.
For these heavily stressed concrete components, we recommend our EP coating system StoConcrete Protect Resist SP 250 in two variants, i.e. once with and without additional fine filler StoCrete TF 250.

Low soiling tendency, reduced cleaning effort
Surfaces in rainwater overflow basins coated with StoCrete FB have a lower tendency to become soiled and are easier to clean. The labour-intensive cleaning effort is considerably reduced. In addition, the polymer-modified cementitious coating protects the building fabric. Cracks are permanently bridged with the elastic coating system, even at low temperatures. At the same time, the mineral sealing slurry StoCrete FB has considerable performance reserves.
In addition, the material is resistant to thermal stresses caused by the alternation of direct sunlight in high summer and rapidly inflowing cold water after thundershowers.
The mineral coating StoCrete FB is suitable for pool crowns, floor and wall surfaces as well as the shaft inlet. It is quick and easy to apply and fully loadable after seven days. This reduces downtime and the associated costs.

Hydraulic structures such as dams, weirs or reservoirs fulfill important functions. Among other things, they serve to generate energy, transport goods or provide security. The structures have to withstand enormous loads due to weather, changing water levels, abrasion or water-soluble pollutants.
StoCretec offers special system solutions approved for hydraulic engineering for the protection and repair of reinforced concrete structures - also for old concrete structures (SRM-A4, SRC-A2 and SRC-A3). The long-term maintenance of functionality and the associated safety for people and the environment are always the focus of our actions.

Repair of hydraulic structures
Existing concrete from hydraulic structures poses a particular challenge when it comes to renovation. Dry spray mortar based on the latest mortar technology has a low modulus of elasticity and low water absorption and is extremely resistant to the effects of freeze/thaw cycles.

Permanent repair of hydraulic structures
The innovative spray mortar StoCrete TS 126 and StoCrete TS 136 are tailored to the special features of old hydraulic structures.
Hydraulic structures are exposed to enormous loads. Climatically exposed locations, mechanical deformations from changing water levels and abrasive loads from solid substances carried along in watercourses have a damaging effect on the building fabric. In addition, chemically reactive elements dissolved in the water destroy the concrete or cause corrosion of the reinforcement.
StoCretec has developed the dry-mix spray concrete StoCrete TS 126 and StoCrete TS 136 especially for the repair of hydraulic structures made of old concrete.

Sprayed mortar and concrete, adapted to the mechanical properties of old concrete
StoCretec recommends the innovative dry-mix sprayed concrete StoCrete TS 126 (SRC-A2) and StoCrete TS 136 (SRC-A3) for the repair of hydraulic structures made of old concrete. These polymer-modified, cement-bound dry-mix sprayed concretes are tested according to ZTV-W LB 219 in conjunction with the BAW leaflet (MSM).
The overall package for old concrete is rounded off with the tried and tested dry spray mortar StoCrete TS 100. These three special mortars are suitable for use up to exposure classes XF4, XS3, XD3 and XC4.

No standard mortar systems for old concrete of classes A1 to A3
According to ZTV-W LB 219, when examining older existing buildings, the concrete used is divided into four old-concrete classes according to compressive strength and tear-off strength.
Old concrete with the properties of classes A1 to A3 can no longer be processed with the mortar systems for statically relevant repairs specified in the DAfStb guideline "Protection and repair of concrete structures". Adapted systems are needed here, as described in ZTV-W LB 219.
One aspect is that the repair mortar and concrete (RM, SRM, SRC) must have a comparable mechanical quality (e.g. modulus of elasticity) to match the mechanical properties of the old concrete. Other essential requirements for the repair products include:
∙ Low water absorption
∙ High resistance to the effects of freeze-thaw cycles
∙ High resistance to the penetration of chlorides, e.g. B. from salt water
∙ Low carbonation progress
∙ Low rebound when sprayed
∙ Very dense structure
