The core of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) in accordance with ISO 14025 is the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). It contains information on energy consumption as well as CO2 and other emissions per unit of a product. The EPDs also contain general environmental information and serve as a basis for life cycle assessments and the analysis of optimization potential.
For numerous Sto and StoCretec products, there are product-specific EPDs or sample EPDs that are specific to the product group and created by the relevant associations.
As part of the Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG), the federal government has been promoting sustainability aspects through a separate "NH class" since July 1, 2021. The required proof for the funding is provided by the Quality Seal for Sustainable Buildings (QNG).
