Epoxy resin filler for fast application: StoPox WB 50
Faster application, faster finish: With a new formula, the epoxy resin filler "StoPox WB 50" accelerates construction site processes. It is designed for levelling coats and partial reprofiling of tunnel inner shells and is also suitable for the protection and repair of concrete members. The short time for application minimises the necessary lockout times for traffic structures.
With its new formulation, the water-based StoPox WB 50 epoxy resin levelling coat is now easier and faster to apply. It cures quickly even at low temperatures and, depending on the ambient conditions, can be recoated after around three hours. This can significantly reduce lockout times due to construction work, for example in tunnels.
"With its new formulation, the epoxy resin filler offers excellent processing properties," reports Alexander Jurecka, Product Manager for concrete repair products at StoCretec. The thixotropic material enables good pore and cavity closure with a maximum layer thickness of four millimetres. It can be applied quickly and effortlessly. "An initial practical test in a Swiss tunnel showed that the application team was able to significantly increase the area coverage with StoPox WB 50 compared to the previous material," Jurecka continues.
StoPox WB 50 is applied directly to the prepared substrate. No post-treatment is necessary, which means that the levelled surface can be quickly recoated. Intermediate layer waiting times and lockout times are reduced. The good processing properties are retained even under difficult conditions such as draughts, cold or high humidity. The levelling coat can also be used on load-bearing capacities of existing epoxy resin coatings. These do not have to be laboriously removed.
StoPox WB 50 is low-odour, resistant to temperature changes, mechanically highly resistant and resistant to sulphate-containing water. Tools are simply cleaned with water.

In the practical test, the new StoPox WB 50 could be applied quickly and effortlessly. Compared to the previous product, the applicators were able to significantly increase their surface performance.
