High-performance ESD floor with state-of-the-art technology for data centre
A leading provider of data storage and service centres built a large-scale data facility in Malaysia for high-performance IT capacity.
The investor opted for the volume-conductive StoFloor ESD KU 614 coating system to protect the sensitive electronics in four server rooms and their anterooms covering an area of over 5,500 square metres, as the system’s properties and compliance with the technical and building regulations requirements were convincing.
StoFloor ESD KU 614 offers state-of-the-art technology and thus the most reliable protection for electrostatic discharge areas
Electrical conductivity floor coatings protect electronic building elements from damage caused by electrostatic discharge. They also prevent explosions, for example in warehouses with combustible media or areas with a volatile atmosphere.
StoFloor ESD KU 614 meets all valid ESD standards. Its ESD performance as well as its mechanical resistance are excellent. No additional sealing coat is required. This saves time during installation. The electrical conductivity of the epoxy resin coating StoPox KU 614 is almost independent of the relative humidity. Even at a low humidity of only 12 %, the requirements of the relevant electrostatic discharge standards for electrical conductivity are perfectly met. The epoxy resin is available in numerous colour shades, and is functionally impressive. The absence of carbon fibres results in a homogeneous appearance and also enables lighter colour shades. The material also offers very good levelling properties and low consumption rates. The coating is chemically resistant and free from ionic liquids. StoPox KU 614 is mainly used on mineral substrates in new buildings as well as for refurbishments.
