StoFloor Traffic Elastic PM MultiBase for the Car Park of Dragoun Cheb Shopping Centre

The Dragoun shopping centre in Cheb (Czech Republic) offers its customers modern supermarkets as well as a number of shops, restaurants, and service providers. It consists of a shopping arcade and a large parking lot. Cheb is located in western Czech Republic, near the German border.

The investor had the approximately 5,800-square-metre outdoor parking lot in front of the shopping centre renovated.

For this project, the investor chose our fast-curing PUR/UREA multi-storey car park system StoFloor Traffic Elastic PM MultiBase. He was impressed by the system’s short downtimes, cost-effectiveness, and by the high wear resistance of the surface protection system. Just a few hours after application, the surface of StoFloor Traffic Elastic PM MultiBase is walkable again and drivable after 24 hours. This keeps closure times short. The StoPur AC MultiCoat wear layer is applied in a single step. It does not require full coverage with quartz sand, thus saving 90 percent of sand and the associated personnel, transport, and disposal costs. With an integrated specialist grading system, StoPur AC MultiCoat ensures the required roughness (slip resistance class R11 - V10). The polyurea-based material is highly abrasion-resistant and wear-resistant. It is chemically resistant to oils, fuels, and de-icing salt, it is UV and colour stable, too – the parking surfaces do not yellow or fade. The wide range of colour shades available with StoPur AC MultiCoat made the integration of the Czech national colours into the parking lot easy to design while simultaneously marking special parking spaces.

The StoPur PM MultiBase sealing membrane meets the highest requirements for surface protection systems with regard to dynamic crack bridging at -20 °C (class B 4.2, according to EN 1062-7 and class IVT+V according to ZTV-BEL-B 3).

Furthermore, the nonwoven processing of the main effective surface protection layer (hwO) enables an extremely high area output of up to 1,500 square metres per day.
