StoFloor Food PU 205 SR for „Wine Cathedrale“
CHÂTEAU VALTICE is one of the oldest and largest wineries in the Czech Republic. The wines of the Lednice-Valtice region in the southeast of the country mature in the family business's wine cellars. The newest building in the winery complex is affectionately called the "Wine Cathedral" because of its interior design with 20 arcade arches. The fine wines are stored there in oak barrels with a volume of 225 to 5,000 litres on around 1,200 square metres. For the building, the investor chose traditional, local materials such as brick, stone and wood. When it came to the floor coating, however, the preference was for a high-quality, tried-andtested system solution that had been designed for the food industry and that met the highest hygienic and functional requirements.
Certified, reliable, powerful and durable - StoFloor Food PU 205 SR
Vintners - as well as breweries and fruit presses houses - require floor coatings with high thermal resistance. High chemical resistance ensures that the coating surface is less susceptible to staining. Residues from wine, beer or juices can be cleaned easily. The coating surface should withstand cleaning and disinfection agents. High surface and local mechanical loads are caused by, for example, from vehicles or filled wine barrels. The coating must therefore be impactresistant and wear-resistant.
With StoFloor Food PU 205 SR, the "Wine Cathedral" remains visually appealing for visitors and guests of private events.
The PU concrete coating system meets the requirements for occupational safety: With the slip resistance class R10, it is safe to drive or walk on even when wet during cleaning or filling. The installation of the seamless surface with embedded floor drainage channels was carried out also in this project by qualified specialised applicators.
The health safety of food at all stages of production, even with indirect contact, is proven by the specific HACCP test certificates.
