Art on the floor with StoFloor Comfort Elastic BB 100

There are no limits to creativity: In a representative office building, designer Jeanet Hönig and our specialist applicator, Kühberger GmbH, created the floor coating in the foyer and the rooms in front of the elevators of the multi-story company headquarters. According to her motto “Function and aesthetics – that always works!”, she designs the floors in entrance halls, hotels, offices and banks. To do this, she uses high-quality, visually appealing and at the same time resistant PUR coating systems.

The art-on-floor creator Hönig designed the floor coating in the foyer, respectively the main entrance area as well as the areas in front of the elevators of this property using our PUR coating system StoFloor Comfort Elastic BB 100. Her floor works of art are unmistakable and unique: intense and pure colours in combination with “lifelines” with which Hönig wants to contribute to an “aesthetically beautiful atmosphere” and thus “make a major contribution to improving the quality of life”. She gave the project the descriptive name “transforming spatial perception to the next level”.

The applicating experts primed the designated areas and carried out the large-scale coating work in the main colour signal grey, into which the ruby red motifs were incorporated according to the artist's plans. Hönig then put the finishing touch to the application and created her signature by adding the two-component PUR resin in white to the surfaces using her prepared watering cans. Finally, the floor coating system was sealed and treated with StoDivers P 120.

The resulting work of art combines the desired aesthetic room concept with the functionality of StoFloor Comfort Elastic BB 100. The result is a seamless surface with high visual quality. StoFloor Comfort Elastic BB 100 is economical and functional, offers remarkable walking comfort and reduces the sound of footfall. It withstands the stress caused by castor chairs as well as the stress caused by high levels of public traffic in transit areas. Thanks to its emissionfree and solvent-free system components, StoFloor Comfort Elastic BB 100 is ideal for indoor use.

In addition, its surface is easy to clean. In contrast to e.g. PVC, linoleum or caoutchouc flooring, complicated patterns can also be realized in artistically created surfaces.
