The new Grace Hopper integrated comprehensive school - School for Creative and Digital Learning - has been constructed in Teltow in the German Potsdam-Mittelmark district. The pedagogical concept of an open learning landscape was implemented in an impressive structural design here: around a central open space, there are five-star shaped learning houses, in which classrooms as well as smaller project rooms, lounges and changing rooms are located.

The project team, the specialist planners from NAK Architekten GmbH and the applicator company EPOWIT Bautechnik GmbH, chose StoFloor Comfort Elastic BB 100 as the best floor coating system for the 4,000 square meters. The PUR coating system offers the required matt and seamless surface with slip resistance classes R9 and R10. With its good mechanical resistance, it is suitable for chair castors, has high impact and shock resistance, and is abrasionresistant and UV-resistant. The tested system build-up is also low-emission, reduces the sound of footfall, and limited combustibility. StoFloor Comfort Elastic BB 100 offers a high-quality optic and also offers decorative design options thanks to its wide range of colour shades. These were skilfully used in this project, for example to separate the classrooms from the corridors and stairwells by choice of colour shade. Ancillary and supply rooms and corridors are also bright and attractively designed. Coloured acrylate chips add additional accents and Sto Ballotini solid glass balls in the sealing coat ensure a slip-resistant surface.

With its properties, StoFloor Comfort Elastic BB 100 supports the overall concept of open spaces for creative learning.
