Sto SEA equipped clean room with ESD Flooring in the electronics industry in Malaysia

Our colleagues from Sto SEA were able to satisfy the local investor that StoCretec ESD products and systems for the floor coating of his electronics factory in Malaysia was the correct choice to make. The investor, producing electronics for all relevant industries worldwide, demanded floor coatings with clearly defined requirements on a total flooring area of almost 3,000 square meters. The requirements were for an electrically conductive floor coating system with an earth leakage resistance of 104 to 108 Ohms and qualified for clean rooms. In addition, the system solution had to be suitable for resisting rising damp. The coating products StoPox WG 100 and StoPox WL 113 were the best choice.

StoPox WG 100 is a water-based StoCretec EP primer. It offers very good adhesive bond on mineral substrates, and also on existing coatings. The product is permeable to water vapour and therefore suitable for rising damp. The low-emission material also meets clean room requirements.

StoPox WL 113 is a StoCretec EP water-based coating material with electrical conductivity. The sealing coat is low in emissions too and it is part of the clean room-tested system StoFloor Cleanroom WB 110. Its conductivity is largely independent of the relative humidity.
