Extravagant Look for Underground Car Park in Montabaur with StoDesign Colour Concept
The comprehensive repair of the northern underground car park in Montabaur in the German
Westerwald district, Rhineland-Palatinate, was successfully completed in May 2022. The twostorey underground car park offers 135 parking spaces, divided between long-term parking and guests. Over the years, ingress of moisture had affected the concrete floor in particular, so that a large-scale renovation had become necessary.

StoDesign Interior created a selected colour concept for the planner. The interior designer based the colour scheme on an integrated approach to the Montabaur municipal building, which is located in the immediate vicinity. For this reason, colours such as "palace yellow" and "rusty red" dominate in the underground car park," enthused the mayor Gabi Wieland. The light grey floors received clearly recognizable floor markings for pedestrians or separate parking spaces.
The underground car park was coated with the crack-bridging OS 8 floor coating system StoFloor Traffic Elastic 590 EP. The water vapour permeable system is particularly suitable for use on floor slabs made of watertight concrete with rising damp. The system is structurally crack-bridging (class A3 according to DIN EN 1062-7) and dynamically crack-bridging (class B 3.1 based on DIN EN 1062-7:2004-08).
