Cleanrooms and Corridors for ÉMI TÜV Laboratories in Hungary

ÉMI-TÜV SÜD Kft. has reopened its testing laboratories in the town of Szentendre, Hungary, after completely renovating the building built in the 1970s. The Hungarian branch of the TÜV Süd Group, based near Budapest, primarily serves its customers in Southern and Eastern Europe. The certified laboratories are designated for chemical and mechanical testing of various textiles, clothing, leather goods and shoes, packaging materials, cosmetics, children's toys as well as chemical products, paints, coatings, adhesives and mortars.

With the renovation, ÉMI-TÜV SÜD pursued the goal of creating one of the most modern laboratories in Europe. For the approximately 650 square metres of floor areas in the laboratories and their connecting corridors, the experts of the project team opted for the high-quality and reliable StoCretec system solutions for controlled area rooms and cleanrooms.

In testing laboratories, controlled or clean conditions are just as crucial and indispensable as in production facilities. Trouble-free and repeatable testing processes must be ensured. The introduction of dirt and the resulting possible contamination of test material has to be avoided and specifically contained. At the same time, requirements for chemical and mechanical resistance, slip resistance and outgassing behaviour of the floor coating are crucial.

StoCretec Cleanroom floor coatings can be driven on with Vulkollan-, polyamide- and solid rubber tires. They also withstand intensive use by office chair castors with a system layer thickness of only around 1.5 mm. Both systems can be easily cleaned and decontaminated.
