StoFloor Industry KU 601 for the new maintenance hangar at Budapest Airport
A new maintenance hangar was handed over to company Aeroplex at Budapest Airport, Hungary. With over 8,200 square meters floor area and a height of 200 metres, the new hangar now offers work space for 4 standard airliners or one wide-bodied aircraft enabling the company to double its capacity. A 75 metres wide and almost 18 metres high sliding gate opens onto the technical area. Another additional 3 by 5 metres element allows the gate to be widened for large-capacity aircrafts. The modern maintenance hangar is state-of-the-art. For this reason, the property developers opted for a floor coating system that has a very good track record for many years: StoFloor Industry KU 601.

StoPox GH 205 is a tested epoxy primer with very good adhesion to mineral substrates. The epoxy resin-based glossy floor coating StoPox KU 601 is chemically and mechanically highly resistant, low in emission and free of paint-damaging additives. The floor coating hardens quickly at room temperature and therefore enables early loading capacity. StoFloor Industry KU 601 has been tested for tear resistance and for bond performance when exposed to rising damp accordance with German “DAfStb” Repair Guideline. The surface can be briefly loaded with +80 degrees Celsius for cleaning processes and offers a high wear resistance. The system complies with EN 1504-2 and EN 13813. It was scattered here with StoChips 3 mm in blue/grey for colour design.
